This hidden gem is located in a Chevron. Fresh ingredients and made fresh in front of you. Delicious for the price! I got the spicy shrimp taco and a carne asada breakfast burrito as Guy Fieri would say "flavor town". Just yum and yum!
The carne asada is grilled right in front of you, the smokey slightly chard gave the meat a deeper depth of flavor. The shrimp fresh off the stovetop has a unique blend of Mexican spices that add the right amount of heat and flavor. Flavor explosion for both items!
It goes to show you, you can get some of the most delicious food in the not so ordinary places. The servers wore gloves and overall the establishment was clean. Expect a line and a bit of a wait.
Highly recommended, you will NOT be disappointed. This definitely needs to be on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive in and Dives. -

Been a regular for about a year. I pick up breakfast burritos for our staff meetings.
When we first found Cilantros, the burritos were great and prices reasonable. Because I didn't want the drink that came with the food, they provided me with a large tray of fruit :)
Since then, the prices have gone up and only include 1 small bag of tortilla chips (instead of the fruit tray or the 5-7 drinks that I didn't need).
This last time, after I placed my order, i sat down to wait. I watched customer after customer walk up to the counter to order......but eventually left the establishment as the "servers" wouldn't even acknowledge their existence. It was humiliating to watch.
I'm guessing the staff their really don't enjoy their employment. If you were to get paid $1000.00 for every time you saw them smile, you'd most likely leave a poor person.
Anyway, back on the road again for a good burrito, reasonable price, and courteous customer service. -

Any other day, you'd be a fool to buy mexican food from a gas station. Reality is, you'd be a fool not to go here. I recently discovered this restaurant after looking for local joints near my work, and this has became a favorite. The food is extremely fresh and flavorful. If you haven't read enough rants and raves about the surf-and-turf burrito, let me tell you it's the one. It is a little expensive ($13 w/small drink from what I remember), but it is definitely worth it. Jampacked with mouthwatering shrimp, Carne asada, rice, guacamole, etc. It has so much flavor, and accentuates the the shrimp and carne asada. (I find sometimes, salsas can overpower everything else. but this thing is so perfect!)
If you're going for more affordable, their normal menu items are closer to $9. I've only been three times so I can't speak for everything else. I've had a carne asada burrito, it is good, but not as impactful and life-changing as the Surf-and-Turf.
Also, all their food comes with their spiced tortilla chips, which you can just grab from the side (they'll put them in bags for you.)
Their homemade Fresca is also very good, and affordable.
Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area! Don't want to overhype it, but its definitely worth overhyping. -

Yes, they're located in a gas station. Yes, parking is crappy. Yes, sometimes the wait times are long.
Great, now that we got that out of the way... you should STILL try these guys out. Their surf and turf burrito is ridiculously good. Their sauces really compliment and bring everything together. The meat and shrimp are charbroiled to perfection. Not to mention, the portions are generous. Try ordering ahead of time. They also have a salsa bar although you don't really need anything else. -

Yes, the food they make here is good. Yes, it's a surprise that it's tucked away into the corner of a convenience store of a gas station. But it's nothing *that* out of the ordinary. The odd location of this spot is the only reason it's ever made a headline in the first place (so, kudos, I suppose) but it's not food worth going out of your way for at all. A great option while you're filling your tank? Absolutely. But that's about the extent of it.
